Improve your living standard by learning a European language!

Learning a language has multiple advantages. Learning a new language can open doors to new opportunities and enrich your personal and professional life. Studying a new language means getting to know the culture, traditions, and history related to the language.

Europe is home to a rich tapestry of languages. There are over 200 spoken languages in Europe. This diversity is celebrated on the European Day of Languages, highlighting not only major languages like English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian but also regional and minority languages.

The European Day of Languages is celebrated on the 26th of September. It is an annual celebration of the linguistic diversity in Europe. The main objectives of this day are not only to promote language learning across Europe, but to raise awareness about the importance of multilingualism as well. That multilinguaism which brings cultural diversity to Europe.

How could one promote multilingualism and learning a new language? Various language learning apps, books, online courses, and information on language exchange programs are made available on the 26th of September. Apart from that, schools, universities, language institutes, cultural organizations, and individuals organise such events and activities that promote language learning and cultural exchange. Moreover, #EuropeanDayofLanguages or similar tags spread awareness of the day itself and encourages people to share their language-related experiences.

When I was a kid, I started studying English at the age of 5. In Hungary, it is quite common to start learning foreign languages in kindergarten at such an early age. Later on, when I attended highschool, I started studying German as well. When I was in college I managed to take my advanced level language exams both in English and German which granted me a double-degree international business & management diploma. I spent 2 semesters in the Netherlands studying Dutch which helped me get my first full time job abroad. Due to the fact that I speak German as well, I managed to get a promotion in Finance. Looking back to my previous work experiences, I must say that it is always worth studying a new language and making use of it in your career. You never know where you will end up in life and when you can take advantage of speaking a particular language.

What kind of experience do YOU have with language learning?
